Soma (Carisoprodol 350mg / 500mg)

Carisoprodol is a skeletal muscle relaxant used for the relief of discomfort associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. It works by affecting communication between nerves in the central nervous system to produce muscle relaxation.

• Dosage:
  250–350mg three times daily and at bedtime. Maximum: 1400mg/day.
  Short-term use only (up to 2–3 weeks).
• Precautions:
  May cause drowsiness, dizziness, or sedation. Avoid use with alcohol or CNS depressants. Risk of dependency with prolonged use.
  Not recommended in patients with a history of substance abuse or in elderly without close supervision.
• Common Side Effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, headache.
  Rare: dependency, withdrawal symptoms if stopped suddenly after long-term use.
