Ivermectin is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic medication used to treat various infections, including intestinal strongyloidiasis, onchocerciasis (river blindness), scabies, head lice, and filariasis. It works by paralyzing and killing parasites through disruption of their nerve and muscle function.

• Dosage:
  • For parasitic infections: Usually a single dose of 150–200 mcg/kg (approx. 12mg for adults).
  • For scabies or lice: Often repeated after 7–14 days.
  • Always follow medical supervision for appropriate dosing based on infection type and body weight.
• Precautions: Avoid in children under 15kg and during pregnancy unless clearly needed. Caution in patients with neurological conditions.
  Take on an empty stomach with water for best absorption.
